Mission for 2013-2014

My vision for the organization must be shared up to the members in order for MISA to function well.  In addition to that, we must have means to reach our vision. How could that be possible?

1. BUILD A "HOME" IN MISA THROUGH AGGRESSIVE INTERNAL MARKETING
MISA must see the reason why members are joining the organization, and act upon it.  Through aggressive internal marketing, we are digging down to their reasons of joining the organization and we will help them align themselves to the organization.  The members, especially the MIS majors, should be able to feel that joining the organization and actually engaging themselves in the organization would transform them to the person they would want to be.

In addition to that, the members should feel that they have the sense of organization ownership.. Efforts such as Grand MISA Survey and effective interviews must be conducted in order for us to know the members more.

2. BUILD A "SUSTAINABLE" MISA THROUGH EXTERNALIZATION AND PRODUCT MARKETING
MISA must not stop with the current resources it has.  Our organization must continue to grow financially and skills-wise for it to remain longer.  We must have year-long aggressive corporate relations for to help the current term and the succeeding terms.  We will have a chance to maintain our loyal partners and help the organization for the succeeding administrations, as well as chance for them to know more than one generation of MISA members in the future.

Also, expansion of eServices product line from the usual desktop systems and website services to more platforms such as mobile application programming, web systems development, and IT consultancy.  This expansion of product line would not just bring us more external reach, but it also provides the members an avenue to have a taste, and much better to have a mastery with developing the products.  Project managers would have a chance to manage different projects because of the expansion as well, which will provide them more exposure to different technologies.

As we provide services to other organizations, we must seek other organizations as well to the things our organization are not specialized with.  Not saying that other functions are not mature enough to perform well, but we must have a grasp of different perspectives to build these functions and make them our specialties as well.  Outsourcing, consulting, or collaborating efforts with other organizations must be made in order to sustain the organization.

3. BUILD A "SOCIALLY-RELEVANT" MISA THROUGH EXTERNAL PARTNERSHIPS FOR OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY EFFORTS AND EVENTS
Efforts on social relevance have been visible starting this year through the TEN Moves initiative.  These efforts must be continued and involve other entities in our organization.  We would be able to address that proper information management will help not just businesses and corporations but also small groups such as Non-Government Offices and Not-for-profit Organizations.
