Vision for MISA 2013-2014

Competent organization relies on the competency of the members. Our brand as information management organization starts from us. Discover and build your potential and skills as we bring MISA to external reach and relevance!

How would we be able to bring these three points? Here is my drive for the term 2013-2014:

HOME : MAKING MISA MEMBERS COMPETENT

Home is the children’s first school, where they learn and develop their literacy and values.  That is what I want MISA to be, an organization where its members are very much motivated to fully develop themselves according to their own goals and aspirations.  MISA should be able to give you enough avenues for participation and help you develop to the person you want to be, whether you want to be a developer, project manager, or a leader.  Everything will be about you, your development, and your goals.

"SUSTAINABILITY : MAKING MISA COMPETENT"

To make MISA stay for a longer period, it requires financial and skills sustainability, together with external support and partnerships. As we hone our skills, we also help the organization to be sustainable for the future members and the society.  Through your own competencies, we could sustain our organization not just for us, but for the future MISA members as well.

"RELEVANCE : MAKING MISA'S COMPETENCY RELEVANT"

Even if we perform well, our organization must have a reason for its existence.  We should show that our organization is not just working for its own but for the betterment of the society. Being socially relevant could be a motivation to other members.  As we fix both internal and external, we can incorporate a pinch of social relevance through our events and CSR efforts.  Through our events and services, we can spread the culture and importance of information management in delivering services and spreading advocacy.
